Category1: CREATIVE WRITING
Write 750 words on any topic of your choosing. The writing will be marked according to quality of language used, subject matter and general interest.
Category 2: JOURNALISM
Write 750 words on a story in the news. Must be relevant and topical, written in English journalistic style, with quotes from real people and all facts checked.
PRIZES
1st prize: 400 zlotys
2nd prize (x2): 200 zlotys
In addition your article will appear on the Cogo Website (www.cogo-news.eu)
The winners of the contests will be selected by a jury of English-language teachers, journalists and academics based in Warsaw. Prizes will be announced in November 2011.
The contest is open only to non-native speakers of English and any plagiarised texts will be rejected.
